This weekend team USA faces team Europe in the 2010 Ryder Cup in Wales. Golfers from both sides will face enormous pressure. Some will blossom some will crumble. Although the golfers are used to playing in front of huge crowds for millions of dollars, playing for pride, team mates and country amps up the stakes and pressure. Situations like these are made to order for the use of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). Pay attention as you watch the matches to episodes where one player soars while the another stumbles. I will address some of these examples in next weeks newletter and show how a player might have avoided a mistake in a pressure situation using EFT and how that same player could decrease the chance of it happening again in the future using EFT.
As a side note EFT could even be used for variety of hurdles a player faces before he ever steps out on the golf course. The long flight to Wales, adjusting to a different time zone, sleeping in a strange bed, eating different food etc. All of these events are "tappable" problems that could reduce a players stress and discomfort before he ever steps up on the first tee.
